Graham Norton is back on BBC1, hosting the latest reality talent search alongside Lloyd Webber for the new London show Oliver! Norton is no stranger to the reality search concept, having previously hosted "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria" and "Any Dream Will Do" on the BBC, through which Lloyd Webber cast his leading roles. Comical, approachable and with a dry wit, Graham is the perfect antidote to Lloyd Webber's reserved manner making the ideal TV partnership.

Early Life

Originally named Graham Walker, Norton grew up in Ireland. His first real passion was for comedy, starting his soon to be illustrious career as a stand up comedian. Appearing at the Edinburgh Festival Norton received a Perrier Award nomination and although he didn't win, it marked the beginning of accolades to come for the talented personality. Norton went on not only to host his own talk shows but appeared in the comedy series "Father Ted".

Graham Norton is best known for his controversial talk shows and camp persona. His Channel 4 chat shows "So Graham Norton" and "V Graham Norton" helped the channel receive some of their highest ratings so it is no wonder that the BBC chose Graham to head their reality talent search for the leads in the West End shows The Sound of Music and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Norton is set to host the third installment of the BBC1 series, helping Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh find sutiable cast for new London show Oliver!
