The Duke of York's Theatre

The Duke of York's Theatre, like many in London, has been known by several names over the years. When it originally opened in 1892, due to its proximity to Trafalgar Square the theatre was referred to as just that, the Trafalgar Square Theatre and only changed its name to the current Duke of York's in 1895 to honour King George V.

Facilities:
The Duke of York's Theatre can seat up to 640 people and has excellent facilities for the disabled including wheelchair access and disabled toilets. Guide dogs are permitted within the auditorium or staff will dog-sit given prior warning, please note only 4 dogs are permitted within the auditorium during any one performance.
Hearing induction loops are available and the theatre has a dual channel infra-red system. There are two licensed bars.
