Cast Changes for Grease

The leather jackets are about to change hands at the Piccadilly Theatre as Grease announced a cast change effective from June 16 2008.

Joining the cast as T-Bird 'Doody,' Ray Quinn will be making his West End debut. An X-Factor finalist, Quinn will play the role for a limited season until 15 November. In 2006 Ray Quinn made his impression on television audiences in The X-Factor, going on to face Leona Lewis in the final.

The West End musical will continue to star Grease Is The Word winner Danny Bayne as Danny though Susan McFadden will be leaving the cast, replaced by Nicola Brazil. Nicola Brazil made her West End debut in 2007 in the cast of Wicked and now takes on her first lead role in London.

Also from June 16 will be Stuart Ramsay as Kenickie, Natalie Langston as Rizzo, Kristofer Harding as Roger, Emily Bull as Frenchy, Laura Wilson as Jan, Emma Stephens as Marty, Benjamin Ibbott as Eugene, Emma Green as Patty, Chloe Brooks as Miss Lynch and Kristina Macmillan as Cha Cha. Jason Capewell continues in his role as Vince/Teen Angel as does Bennett Andrews as Sonny.

The rock 'n' roll filled musical opened to much anticipation on August 8th 2007. One of the world's most popular musicals, Grease first took to the stage in America in 1972. The show is set in the 1950's at Rydell High and follows the highs and lows of students including Danny and Sandy. The West End revival is based on the previous production that ran in London's theatreland for more than 6 years and embarked on a successful international tour.
