Never Forgotten

Never Forget

Never Forget, the new musical documenting the rise of 90's pop sensation, Take That finally hits the West End on Wednesday 21st May 2008.

Never Forget was conceived in 2005 when the band's record label, EMI and front man and lead singer, Gary Barlow agreed to license their songs for use on the stage. The show, directed by Ed Curtis, enjoyed a successful run in Cardiff last summer before touring in Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Glasgow and Edinburgh and includes some of the finer songs from the group's back catalogue including Re-light My Fire, Back For Good and Pray.

Never Forget is not only about the music - Karen Bruce, the show's choreographer is keen to showcase the "ground breaking" dance moves that were born as a result of the five-piece's successful career. Bruce stated "Their concerts were immense and wonderful and visual" and intends to recreate this on the West End Stage.

In true homage to the band, four out of the five actors playing the stars in the show had been selected with no previous dance experience. This is true to the story of Take That's success and, in an attempt to make the show as real as possible, the actors were put through a strict boot camp similar to that of Gary and the boys in the 90's. Bruce added "The charm is that you see these normal guys learn how to perform on stage and that is exactly what happened in the rehearsal room."

Never Forget opens on Wednesday 21st May at the Savoy Theatre. Book your tickets with Show and Stay® and get a top London hotel stay with your London Show.
