Tucker's Luck Runs Out

Rachel Tucker

Last Sunday Rachel Tucker became the final Nancy to be booted off BBC1's I'd Do Anything before the grand final.

At one point Rachel had been the bookies' favourite to take the role in the West End but, after several disappointing weeks, she began to fall out of favour with the public. Even a stunning performance of Life is a Cabaret on Saturday's show could not save her from the dreaded sing off. Gutsy, determined and exciting, it was a real surprise to see her with the fewest votes on Sunday.

A really heartfelt duet of Memories had to separate Rachel and Samantha, and Andrew chose to put Samantha through to the final. At only 17, Samantha Barks from the Isle of Man is the youngest competitor in the show and now goes through to fight out for the West End role with Jessie Buckley from County Kerry and Jodie Prenger from Blackpool. The three finalists will perform next week in a special extended version of I'd Do Anything and the winner will be selected by votes from the general public.

We'll be following all the latest news and gossip from inside the Nancy camp so don't forget to check back with us and catch up on your favourite hopeful.
